Women's Swimming & Diving is in 2nd going into the last day of the national championship, but well behind Georgia and a shade in front of C.al. Stanford has won 6 of the 14 events! C.al only has 2 wins so far. Saturday events include the 1650 Fr, 200 Bk, 100 Fr, 200 Br, 200 Fly, Platform diving, 400 Fr Relay. Prelims are webcast at 9AM PDT (

The ladies have turned in really good times and been rewarded with very good results. With only 11 swimmers & 1 diver, we've done very well but probably don't have the depth to catch Georgia on what may be our weakest day. (Georgia sent 17 swimmers & 1 diver, C.al & Texas A&M have 16 swimmers (C.al sent a diver too), Florida 14 swimmers)
We've got some really good swimmers, and I have to say they've surprised me a bit by how well they're doing. (These wins may help in the recruiting battle versus C.al.) I hope Saturday proves as successful. Congrats to the athletes & coaches.
