It will be interesting to see how the team responds to going to a 2nd tier bowl game. They may have a tough year ahead of then in 2014. They're losing a lo of talent to the draft, and the Chip Kelly magic will be fading quickly. Something tells me that Helfich isn't able to embody the WTD mentality like CK.
Addicted to Quake had a pretty good piece about how this game was the end of an era. It's the first time Oregon has lost to a non-elite team in 4-5 years. Their losses since '09 have been to Stanford, Boise, LSU, Auburn, and US.C. You could argue that Stanford in '09 was not elite, but I think the point is fair. They're not longer seen as invincible or that the offensive onslaught is inevitable.
