Here's an Army fan's view of how the two teams match up. 

I'm shocked he rates the teams even in "Stanford Run Defense vs Army Run Offense".  Our run D is a little weaker this year but has the player size to wear down the option as the game moves along.  In my opinion the second half belongs to the Cardinal.  I suspect the author didn't want to give Stanford the advantage everywhere and since Army is a strong triple option running team he mixed in a change-up here. 

I also learned we aren't the only ones worried about injuries in this game.  Last year the top two Army runners were knocked out of the game, one was lost for the season.

I am shocked, shocked that he gives Stanford the edge in Army pass offense vs Stanford pass defense. Apparently he does not realize that right now Army is #1 in the entire country in pass efficiency rating at a shocking 250.00, and first in yards per attempt at 17.9 - and second isn't very close in either case.

We're doomed.

On another matter, the author does not seem to appreciate the obvious conclusion from this statement,
"Army has played some of the West Coast teams on their schedule very tough at Michie Stadium but struggled on the return visiting trip after traveling across the country."

I don't know about that. Stanford had trouble with Army's run offense last year, probably because it was so different from run offenses of other teams, that and the blocking techniques.

This year, yards may not lead to points, however.

I don't know about that. Stanford had trouble with Army's run offense last year, probably because it was so different from run offenses of other teams, that and the blocking techniques.
