Here's an Army fan's view of how the two teams match up.Â
I'm shocked he rates the teams even in "Stanford Run Defense vs Army Run Offense". Our run D is a little weaker this year but has the player size to wear down the option as the game moves along. In my opinion the second half belongs to the Cardinal. I suspect the author didn't want to give Stanford the advantage everywhere and since Army is a strong triple option running team he mixed in a change-up here.Â
I also learned we aren't the only ones worried about injuries in this game. Last year the top two Army runners were knocked out of the game, one was lost for the season.
