Sorry, this stuff is just too good to pass up.
----------
Particularly:
1. The 3rd and one where Calabrese stopped the Stanford fullback one yard short of the original line of scrimmage and the officials inexplicably gave Stanford 1.5-2 yards and a first down...then put their corruption on display by not overturning it on review?
2. The two off sides that were not called, especially the one where the linebacker was in the backfield before the ball was even snapped and took a free shot at Crist? That not only cost ND 7 yards and a loss of down, but it also is a safety issue with an unprotected QB.
3. The play where Jonas Gray was tackled by the helmet, leading to an injury that will cause him to miss the next 3-4 weeks,
We got our asses handed to us on Saturday, but these occurrences are inexcusable and must be addressed immediately. This is where a strong AD would be helpful. Those officials need to be held accountable with their jobs. Being major college officials is a privilege, not a right. In my eyes, they have forfeited that privilege.

I got yelled at by two older alums about standing and yelling at the game.
I turned back a little surprised and said, "it\'s 3rd and 1." (might have been 2, and yes, we were on defense, duh)
One of the happy alums enjoying their football game responded, "so what?"
Luckily the happy go-lucky usher stepped in to make sure I took my seat before the play was run. I was a little too surprised to make a fuss.
After collecting my thoughts I grabbed the usher as he was walking by and had a little chat with him. I explained to him that nowhere in any of the many rules I had did it state I couldn\'t stand at the game. He said there wasn\'t but if I was hurting the experience for other fans I could be removed. I was understanding but asked if that rule was for unruliness, swearing, etc and he said it was, it wasn\'t for standing. So the nice usher man told me I could stand if someone in front of me was standing.

(many fans at the game go on to report the same experience...)
The usher just came to me and my friend (non ND fan who now dislikes ND very much due to this) and told us to sit down during the game. We sat down looking at the usher ( grandmother age ) with confused looks.

I\'ve never been to a single game in the last 7 years where I didn\'t either get told to sit down or see someone else told to sit down, save USC 05. Our crowd is pathetic. Some of that might have to do with the suckosity of the team, but even in critical moments of big games the same shit exists.

on and on and on about the sorry state of the program...
