Larry Harris died recently. He was 101. Anyone who is a keen student of California history will recognize the name of his Great Grandfather, James King of William (another story for another day).
I was also intrigued with the fact that he was named the sixth recipient of the Golden Spike Award. Since I do not know much about Stanford traditions and awards, I am curious, what does one have to do to earn this honor?Â
For you younger posters, reading obits is something that you begin to do once you get a little older. I am continually amazed and fascinated by some of the life stories of people who live among us unnoticed until they shuffle off this mortal coil.....
