I have been to 2 Army home games and can tell all Stanford fans that the game day experience at West Point and Michie Stadium is not to be missed. I am definitely planning on returning on Sept 14.
What was good about it? I live on the east coast and could go....
I hope Army isn't still chop blocking.

DC, regardless of one's political leanings, it is stirring to see the Army cadets in their dress uniforms marching on the parade grounds on Saturday morning, then wandering over to the stadium area that is beautifully set near the Hudson River. You will feel a sense of history on the campus that has educated American military leaders for over 200 years.Â
Here is a good article about the fan experience -

As the article notes, Sports Illustrated posted their top 20 Sports Venues of the 20th Century (6/7/1999) and the top three on their list were (original) Yankee Stadium, Augusta National and Michie Stadium.

Thanks, I'll give it serious consideration. If you stayed overnight, where did you stay? Or maybe I'll hit some casinos up there while I'm at it.
