It is ONLY week #2. Â Rankings at this point are only meaningful for those with BCS championship game aspirations. Â And those with BCS Championship game aspirations would not be thrilled with a #19 ranking.
In other news, Vegas has seen the light.
Stanford is a 17 point favorite against Wake. Â At least the nation\'s gamblers are starting to appreciate the possibilities for Stanford football.

our linebackers had better be up to the task, or it will be jet sweep left and right all the way down the field for wake. Â i may have some mild PTSD from watching speedy WF runners chew up yards last year.

Safe to say that our defense\'s Points Against average will rise tjos weekend (particularly since that ratio doesn\'t include the Sac St. punt return!), but I\'m reluctant to use last year\'s final score as a source of cynicism here. Â Anyone remember that ABSURD illegal block call that effectively cost us the game?!? Â Â :\'(
