"College football has changed drastically in the last few years, and the investment needed to compete at the highest level has never been more important," OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg said. "As we search for the next head coach of Cowboy Football, we are looking for someone who can lead our program in this new era. It is also important that we continue to support our student-athletes, our staff and our university through the season, and I hope that our fans continue to show that support in Boone Pickens Stadium this fall.

"Moving forward, it is critical for our fans, alumni and donors to align behind Cowboy Football," Weiberg said. "This is a pivotal moment, the stakes have never been higher and we need everyone on board."

How long ago that Fiesta Bowl was. Another world. January 02, 2012. Grateful to have been there. Best tailgate of any Bowl Game I ever attended. And one of the bitterest defeats (if not THE bitterest) of all time. Scarred me for life.

Takeaway: Okies can't keep pace with $ooners in NIL-world.

At least Gundy can take this firing in stride because "He's a man. He's 58." He's not a student athlete who can't take criticism.

Their Phil Knight-esque billionaire sugar daddy died in 2019, right before they needed him most.

I didn't know T Boone passed away. Just like Arrillaga at Stanford, he loved his alma mater's teams.

Did any Arrillaga family member inherit his gene for donating to Stanford? Are we going to see the AFNILIAS (Arrillaga Family Name Image Likeness Institute at Stanford) building in the future?

Probably not from his daughter Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen.

Football? Andreessen doesn't know if it's pumped or stuffed. And I don't give a #@&* how rich he is.
