Agree. But it's the NCAA, what do you expect? Won't penalize the players (probably correct in this case). Don't dare penalize the donors. Without them, big-time college sports would be much smaller. Decades ago, Brian Bosworth (football, I forget the college) was banned from a post-season game. He wore a sweatshirt with this on it: National Communists Against Athletes. Still true today.

The Boz was a Sooner. He attended OkeyDokey, and I recall those T-shirts disparaging him. Everyone who bought them did not know that the very Boz created them, and he was reaping the benefits of its sales. That was shrewd of him.

Right around the time Boz was at Oklahoma, I stood in an SF cable car line behind two Nebraska fans who spent the entirety of the wait ripping on the state of Oklahoma, Oklahoma football, Barry Switzer, UO fans ("You think Cal fans are bad, you haven't been to Norman for a football game") and Brian Bosworth in particular as a roided-up no talent who would fail in the NFL. And they let me know how much it tickled them to see Elway beat Oklahoma on Owen Field, snapping a lengthy UO home winning streak.
