Stanford got a meaningless touchdown within the last minute or so against the third team Oregon defense, and the Oregon offense pulled Bo Nix with about 10 min to go.  It probably could have been 60-10 if Oregon hadn’t taken its foot off the gas.

With eightish minutes to go in the first half, there was still cause for some hope.  The score was 10-0 Ducks, but Stanford was driving and had first and goal at the Oregon 4.  

In another year and with another Stanford team, we would have scored the TD and not merely settled for the FG.  The gap would have been 3 points with 7 minutes and change remaining; and we could have imagined a defensive stop and potentially a FG to knot the score before the break.  

But we took the 3, then gave up 21 unanswered points in the last 5 minutes of the half and went into the locker room trailing 31-3.  Mind-boggling.  This team was "subjugated" in rapid-fire fashion after kind of hanging with Oregon for most of the first half.  Painful.
