Even as relative numbers, without knowing the playing times of the players, it doesn’t give much info except that the coaches let them play long enough to put up those numbers.
If the competition is at the level of the PAC-whatever, then the absolute numbers are quite good.

I've seen limited highlight clips of her but most of what I recall is she's extremely left-handed and likes to drive the lane when she's bigger than her defender. I think if she was more of an outside threat like Hannah, or more of an agile defender like Agnes, she might have seen more playing time last year. I suspect the big adjustment she might have to make is playing defense, especially within our scheme. Jump is easily our best shooter but she needed to develop other aspects of her game before she got the playing time.

Multiple challenges await us when we go up against the Gamecocks, but there are also opportunities: A better effort defending Boston requires size and more size. Remember, Brink will no longer be a post and Tara wants to keep her on the court and stay out of foul trouble, so the logical two choices would be Prechtel and Betts or Prechtel and Kiki with Betts coming in for relief. Prechtel has proven to be a good physical defender on Boston and it not prone to fouling. When Boston turns for one of her patented moves, another 'big' with strength must be there to smother or bother her shot. I would love to see 6'7 Betts (hands-up) waiting for her. Fran is a beast, but for this game, too short.
On the perimeter, our challenge will be- both our starting PG and #2 guard must be able to handle the SC pressure that is sure to come and be sufficient offensive threats to minimize any double-teaming on Jones and Brink. That challenge is magnified by the fact we are so inexperienced at the guard positions, so we need two players who will quickly rise to the top. Who will they be? It's been previously noted that spacing will be crucial for the team to operate and create problems for the Gamecocks and someone (Jump?) needs a hot hand that afternoon. The greatest weapons we have are Haley and Cam, our two All-Americans and I'm encouraged from Kate Paye's comment that Tara and staff will be developing new offensive schemes and plays to take advantage of their skill-sets. SC will do everything they can to prevent us from getting the ball to Jones and Brink. Quick, strong penetrating guard play resulting in scoring, getting to the line and good passing will help erase that problem. The challenge- Will our young guards deliver?
We are certainly going to have a different starting lineup with the Hull twins and Wilson gone. My hope is that our starting 5 for game 1 will be the same starting lineup for game 4. Experience playing together and good performance breeds confidence.

I’m curious how junior guard, Aggie (Agnes Emma-Nnopu), will develop and be utilized this season. She is a tenacious defender and an opportunistic rebounder, yet she has seemed to be a tweener — not an aggressive scorer and playmaker for a guard spot and too undersized to be considered for one of the forward spots. Tara has put her in big games as a defender when nothing else seemed to be working. She stayed glued to the opposition's shooter, but often got into foul trouble.
It seems that for a player to rise above the high talent level of the other women on the team and make it into the lineup, a set of circumstances must occur — a player must make significant improvement over the summer, impresses the coaches like no other player, or be on a trajectory as a team leader.
I think Aggie has the potential. I recall seeing her make 3 three-pointers in a quarter of a scrimmage last year. I've watched her be team-oriented, supportive, and hard working throughout the season. And, as the past season was drawing to a close, she became more aggressive as a shooter and a driver.
Her status as a starter for the 2022-23 team remains to be seen. There is a need for a guard to step up this season and make their mark on the team! I hope Aggie can be that person!. She seems like a very fine human being with the talent and work-ethic to be a real asset to the team. We need her to step up, I hope she does!

To me the important wild card here is Demetre, since she and Jump are our two best hopes for regular outside shooting. In theory we could have a lineup of Jones, Jump, Demetre, Brink, Belibi/Betts/Iriafen, which would presumably give us an edge on size over just about any team in the country, but that lineup would suffer from turnover issues and also issues covering speedy guards on defense.
I'll admit that for all the terrific players we have this coming season, this is one of the more puzzling set of players to work with of any year I can remember. Can't wait to see how Tara the Chess Master figures out how to use all her pieces.

Ideally one of the new guards works out in some capacity. If so, I think we are more likely go see rotations of Nivar/Lepolo, Jump/Demetre, Jones/Agnes/Bogsana, Brink/Prechtel, Betts/Belibi/Iriafen.

some years back, i heard tara say that she usually played a 1-2-2 offense: one pg, 2 wings, 2 forward/posts. she may still say that; i don't know.
that said, as i understand, there is at times a difference between the 2 posts. when we are playing high/low (where one post feeds the other), they are interchangeable, but when we have one player down low and 4 outside the 3-point line, there is a clear difference. cam and ashten are more often that 4th outside shooter, fran rarely.
also, in player-to-player defense, one of the posts gets assigned to the other team's back-to-the basket big, the other to the opponent's quicker, face-up big (when the other team's bigs are of different size and role).
