I guess Oral Roberts getting to the Sweet Sixteen is slightly more improbable, but I don't see any other teams with 12 losses making it to the Sweet Sixteen this year. OSU is a true Cinderella story.
Oregon State played in the very tough Pac-12. It was a miracle they survived the brutal Pac-12 with ONLY 12 losses. Now that they don't have to fly all over the West, with challenging travel related COVID-19 protocols, to play Pac-12 teams they can finally thrive. As they are the only Pac-12 team in their quarter of the bracket they can string together a nice set of tournament wins.
That's how they do it in the ACC for hoops and the SEC for football. Sing the tune enough and eventually the recruits and fans will make it a reality.
