I think as with all retrospective studies, there are some potential problems with it (confounding by indication) even though they attempt to control for it. As I said in the post, I'll wait for the results of randomized, placebo controlled studies, but presumably if HCQ were a "game-changer" it would be obvious even in a retrospective trial like this. So, I will wait for the randomized placebo controlled trial to make up my mind.

So many threads that I did not see your post.
Not a perfect study of course but I think the with this study, the French experience and the Brazilian study, I'm not very hopeful that very sick individuals will see a benefit.

I've seen some speculation that Zinc should be used in combo with HCQ because Zinc helps open pathways for HCQ to get into virus cells. I have no idea if this is true or not.

High doses of zinc can cause anosmia, which has been documented as a symptom of COVID-19. So be careful.

Usually seen with zinc lozenges, rather than zinc as part of a multi-vitamin.
