*For those who don't follow UK politics, Johnson's original idea was to isolate the elderly and people with complications and let the virus spread through the rest of the population so that herd immunity could eventually slow the spread. He reversed course on this only when models showed that this would kill a million people or so in the UK, and by then it was too late to do any containment.
