Griff has actually, with the exception of his offseason stop in Miami in 2016, logged regular season snaps on every team that he has been on since entering the league in 2012 (43 games played, with 3 starts). Furthermore, according to Spotrac, he has earned, not including any off-the-field endorsements, $2.2 million in career earnings through the end of last season. While taxes, agent commissions etc. would undoubtedly reduce that figure, that amount of money in 5 years as a journeyman WR is more money than many people will make in their entire careers.

I'm glad to see his earnings are better than I had thought. It seemed to me he was not active much more often than not in recent years. Looks like he only earned $91K last year. Perhaps he views it as a blip and he'll return to the $400K he earned in 2016. $91K isn't terrible, of course, but the question is whether he will maximize he lifetime earnings by grinding it out for a few more years in the league with a risk he only earns $30K like he did in 2014 vs. $585K in 2015. Given his age and recent productivity, I would expect it to be closer to the lower end, but hope for the best.

Of course, that's just the economic side. IF he's loving life in the NFL, and he's not worried about CTE, he should move forward with his career even if the max earnings potential will come from going to B-school or Law School and starting his post NFL career.
