J.J. (not sure who that is) Ready, but hasn't practiced
Mike Tyler LB : Close but hasn't practiced in a while. Shaw leaning towards "ready"
Trevor Speights RB: Really close, probable
AT Hall OT: questionable, doubtful.

I'd forgotten what Shaw's voice sounded like.
- Most of the kids are over the time zone change, maybe half the coaches are--kids are more resilient ;D
- Super enthusiastic about the Australia trip, would love to do it more often. Experience goes beyond football.
- Gameweek prep is broken down into "our stuff" and "their stuff." The scheme is therefore a blend of "base" and "opponent-specific." I have to imagine that the base itself might also be a blend of what the talent is best at and also a preseason, long-term forecast of what is most applicable for the toughest opponents. Or it could be just what the talent is best at and fundamental plays. Or "our stuff" could be just fundamentals...I'm thinking pretty far into a 1.5-sec long phrase.
- JJ hadn't really practiced in 2 weeks (hence being sidelined), but he was healthy for the game.
- Mike Tyler will be "really, really close," leaning toward probable, "most likely" going to play in the game. ("really turned the corner in the last couple of days")
- Speights in the same boat as Tyler, probably. (pronounced "spay-ts")
- AT Hall, still questionable unless something changes drastically.
- Shaw believes Kaden would have played last year (as a true frosh) if not for being banged up from his senior year of HS. Dalton performed up to expectations. Keller Chryst "played extremely well," able to read progressions (at least two routes in--tight ends were his second read sometimes). Receiving corps as a whole is a great group and should give the QB more weapons.
Minor quibble--some of the interviewers should be more on their game. Crisp questions, articulate pronunciation, etc. Shaw gives a great interview. He deserves clear questions that don't drag on... :)

One of those guys asking questions is downright painful to listen to.
