I watched the running backs portion of the combine, and while the 40 times for the four top backs (Cooke, Fournette, McCaffrey and Kamara) were all pretty close, it was clear to me that CMac's hands, and probably his feet, were a lot better than the others. The analysts were saying the same kinds of things. For example, I think I saw Fournette double catch at least two out of the four passes I saw thrown at him, whereas CMac looked like a polished slot receiver. Similarly, CMac's feet around the cones and his route running were crisp and deliberate - the others were varying degrees of not as good.
This being said, I echo what others are saying - Fournette and CMac are apples and oranges. Fournette is the back you want to carry the rock 30-plus time a game; CMac is the back you want to hand off to 15 times a game, throw six passes to, and return kicks. I doubt teams are really comparing the two.
I could easily see CMac going in the first round based on what he did on the field today, but it wouldn't surprise me that much if he slipped into the second round either.
