I finally forced myself to read this thread. I'm usually hosting the local watch party, so I never have time to contribute in real-time...perhaps for the better this last game as the local alumni and I were getting pretty salty about Stanford's performance on the field. But most of my thoughts were echoed by other posters in this thread
1. Coaching adjustments were needed but nowhere to be found. Certain decisions seemed desperate and bereft of cleverness or insight.Â
2. OL was losing a lot of 1v1 battles.
3. DL was getting no pressure.
UW took the Stanford Rose Bowl 2016 plan and executed it pretty well. Their DL was on another level. There's a lot of work to be done.
Of note, the reverse and the "move three OL to block for a WR screen" play (what the hell do you call that?) were wildly unsuccessful, and that was evident before those snaps.
