Well, I was worried we'd be back on the Dark Network. It's also interesting to note that Oregon and USC play at 12:30. Not that it makes much difference, but we could already be division champs long before the game gets under way.

I don't want to rely on Oregon losing to hand us the division, because that would involve a trojan win. Gross. Just beat the weenies. If we don't do that the year is a failure anyway.

There ***REALLY*** needs to be a cap on the number of 7:30pm PT kickoffs any one team can have. This is ridiculous

This raises an interesting question. How do we classify failure? I'd be curious to know how people feel about this. If you had to choose one of two scenarios, which would you prefer?
A. Stanford loses to Cal, but backs into the P12CG, wins there, and wins the Rose Bowl.
B. Stanford beats Cal, but loses P12CG.
I chose A without hesitation.

The Big Game watch party here in the central time zone will be poorly attended because people are tired of going home at 1:30am on a Saturday night...at least, I suspect that's what will happen. I'll be there.

If Oregon beats SC on Saturday, then Big Game will probably quite literally be for the North division, indirectly. If Oregon beats SC and then we lose to C.al, Oregon will only need to beat OSU in the Civil War to win the division.

I have a really hard time believing that we'll have a hangover when this is our biggest rivalry and a win guarantees a Pac-12 Championship Game berth. The loss to Oregon sucked but we still control our own destiny for our main goal every year: win the Pac-12.
