Well, we're all talking about that knucklehead, so he got what he wanted.  The single dumbest national sports talking head (with a lot of competition for that role) and people still tune into him.  It's not as if he ever has a clever or insightful comment.  All he ever does is kvetch, and he does it badly.  It's not even amusing or, frankly, all that irritating.  "That catch by Owusu?  An 8."  He brings nothing, absolutely nothing to the party.  He looks like a spinster aunt, perpetually fretting.

Agree with Mick. (Though I do love Hulk's applying Bayless-trolling to non-football topics.)  Reading Bayless's comments and then responding to them makes me feel like I'm back in elementary school.  And I'm vaguely aware that he is controlling this conversation, even as we vent.
