Sounds like Roethlisberger. Seriously. Must have been put on a big-boy weightlifting program at Stanford.

Chryst started it...twice.
Having said that, the first block looked amazing because the DB pulled up from pursuit as soon as he realized a #10 Mack truck was heading his way...completely off-balance and unprepared. Silly Mildcat.

Speaking of "ChrystCrushes" does anybody have the video of his 33-yd run that was called back?
All models are wrong; some models are useful......

I don't but my recollection of it was that he ran very smartly into some pretty open spaces. Made a couple decent cuts for a guy his size and showed really good vision.

It was a very Luck-ian run. Just the way he was cut and striding made me think someone was about to get Cattoused.

Did Chryst play soccer too? Luck's field vision and running surely developed from his soccer days.

I also recall hearing that it was watching Luck play youth basketball that Oliver realized he might have what it takes to be a QB.

Perhaps, but probably not the ability to gleefully pancake linebackers.

My favorite part is Andrew pausing to look down at the man. I half expected him to offer him a hand up and make sure he was okay.

I don't know. I noted that pause as well, but it looked like more of a glare and I expected his next move would be a gladiator's roar. HAH!
BTW, on Chryst's run I was definitely excited when he "Luck-ed" the first defender. However, it was not my impression that he manhandled the second defender. He definitely achieved the purpose of impeding the player's route to the ballcarrier, but that second contact reminded me that we don't want to be too cavalier about putting Chryst (and certainly not Hogan) in harm's way.

I was going on Luck's reputation for congratulating someone when they sack him :). As for Chryst . . . Sure the second hit was just enough, but the fact that he continued on, looking to block again, says a lot about him. Wonder if he knows how to slide :)

It did not appear that he has yet developed a "slider's" mindset. Got to admire his gladiator spirit.

In our section, the guy Chryst flattened hadn't even gotten up by the time cries of "Cattouse!!" were already being heard.
