Tweaked, sprained and broken fingers are a volleyball hazard for any good volleyball player. I don't know the current statistics but at one point volleyball ranked third in college sports in terms of injuries requiring a hospital visit for just this reason. Even decent league players usually have some sort of lingering finger injury.
