I just noticed over on Marian Cortesi's blog that she reminded us that Lili is originally from Hawaii and played at Punahou High School before moving to Texas in 2010--probably before her sophomore year. The star Hawaii player Shawna-Lei Kuehu (who seems to have been out ill or injured much of last night) also played for Punahou High School. When she was a junior in high school Lili would have been a frosh. I wonder if they played together?
Edit: Just saw that Shawna-Lei took a medical redshirt year. The last year she played for Punahou was 2008, so they would not quite have overlapped. When Lili was a frosh it would have been just after Shawna-Lei had led that team to 3 state championships.Â
Edit:Â Lili did not set a record with her 6/7 three point shooting. Jennifer Azzi shot 7/7 in 1989.

You know how these quotes are--the players just reflect what the coach told them. I imagine Tara made it a priority for the guards to get the posts involved by passing more to the rolls, when earlier on they were trying to do everything themselves. This is a step forward in learning the new system.
