Ouch!  That was the least fun I've had watching a Stanford game since Walt Harris was calling quick kicks on third down.  We've played many bad games over the intervening years but this combination of listless offense, star players trying to play outside the system and a defense knowing they had to pitch a second half shutout or go home a loser made this outing the most depressing game experience in recent memory.  A joyless four hour march with a result that seemed as inevitable as Sherman wetting his feet in the Atlantic on a prior trudge.

This is the second crisis in Shaw's tenure.  I will be interested to see how he responds.  I remain hopeful but you know what they say about hope and second marriages.
