Yeah .... I'm sadly aware of both win streaks - Stanford's and Ca.l's.Â
While I'm hoping that the Big Game wheel is turning slowly and Stanford's turn at the top lasts a bit longer, the Willingh.am/Teevens/Harris era taught us how quickly fortunes can turn. I may know the big (game) wheel keeps on turning but like Proud Mary I'm in no hurry to watch it turn.
The heavy hitters I was referring to were the Ca.l folks interviewed in the linked article, Joe Kapp and several ex players. This one may get politically hard for your AD to push through.
I'm with them on one point - college games should be played on college campuses and when I want to see the Niner's new digs I'll get a pro ticket. But I'll not join anyone on the ramparts over this.

In 1938 Neville Chamberlain declared "Peace in our time", Superman first appeared in Action Comics, Seabiscuit beat War Admiral ....... and C.a.l last won the Rose Bowl.
