So why didn't Tedford use Bigelow more? He must have had what he thought was a good reason, knowing he was on the hot seat and watching his season go down the tubes.

Jeff Tedford was fired after a 3-9 season.  That is strong evidence alone to suggest he was making poor decisions and not managing the program well.  Throw in APR and GSR numbers, lousy strength and conditioning, add in player favoritism, and it's easy to see how Bigelow not being used enough (and properly), was just another example of how lousy a coach Tedford devolved into after the Oregon State game in 2007.
