Parks wasn’t very good in this one and I am not a Parks hater - see my posts last year. Setting outside has never been her strength and it was erratic as usual against Kansas. Her strength has been setting to the middles and that was erratic as well. You can see it on the number of kills and the hitting percentages for the mids - combined 15 kills / .306. That isn’t terrible but it’s far below par the last 2 years. She also had more unhittable sets than I ever remember seeing - usually her location is a bit off, but it is still hittable.
Separately, I wish he had any semblance of a back row game. Both Kansas and UW were more effective from the back. I remember maybe 1 successful Harvey attack vs. UW and that is all I can remember.
I have gotten used to officiating getting challenges right, so I was shocked on the blown replay call on set 3. Simple one to get right.
