In the early 1970s, they played until stadium security kicked them out, usually more than an hour unless it was raining. Later the post-game show seemed to be on a 30-minute timer.

Those were some of my fondest memories. Even when the team lost, we would all be bummed for a few minutes as the band played the school song. THEN, a second later, the band would start jamming, we'd start dancing, and everyone would be happy again. And as garvin says - they'd play for a long time. It was the best part of the going to the game.
