Howell never seemed interested in Stanford. Just my read, could be wrong...
This is likely meaningless reading of the tea leaves, but Heckel and Erica McCall are following each other on Instazuk, and Heckel is also following Jeanette Pohlen. Heckel is also followed by and is following Clardy, Umeh, Stevenson, Agara, Peterson, and Swain. Of course, she's also following Morgan Valley, Caroline Ducharme, and Kaitlyn Chen at UConn and a bunch of high profile players. Probably some of this is left over from the previous recruiting cycle, but there's no linkage with the seniors (Bosgana/Demetre), which might suggest this is more recent contact. Who knows?
I see no sign that Howell has public Instazuk contact with Stanford.
Speaking of Koval, she is following Erica McCall, Clardy, Umeh, Stevenson, Ijiwoye, and Ogden. Koval's followers are not public.
Pure speculation: one scenario is that Green might not have a spot if Kate lands a high value transfer. That's the exchange that would make the roster limit work.
I’m pretty sure Green’s schooie is conditional upon availability, but the issue is whether we would deny her a non-scholarship roster spot, which is where the limit of 15 comes in. This is new territory for us and I don’t think there is a precedent.
interesting question.
in the past, iirc the rules were no more than 15 can travel. we have had 17 players and 2 didn't travel. if she can't travel to the east coast, that might not be a big disappointment.
she doesn't play more than an average of 1 minute per game. what if she can practice with the team but not suit up for games? doesn't change much.
