Has anyone seen whether or not folks in Oregon are second-guessing Chip Kelly for not kicking the field goal early after the Mariota long run?Â
It's almost guaranteed that his thought process was along the following lines: "Hey, we'll get the TD and, if we don't, who really cares, because we'll just score next time."Â I think it's almost as likely that Shaw would have kicked the field goal.
I wouldn't say Kelly's decision was indefensible...but, as it turns out, there's a good argument to be made that it probably cost them the game.
