Jake Moody?!? Couldn't they have waited a year for Karty?

that's what i was thinking.
as for Michael Wilson.....i was hoping that i could see someone make the official announcement at the podium, like the others.  but i'm genuinely happy for him.

Karty might be a second round pick next year. He might be the best kept secret in college football.

As for Moody, he’s really good and a solid Gould replacement. Really like who Niners took with first 3 picks.

Since 2000 only 3 kickers have been taken in first 2 rounds. Moody is the 5th taken in top 3.  Highly unlikely Karty will be a second or even third round pick. 

Niners roster top to bottom is strong enough that they can make an early pick on a kicker. Not many teams in that position.
