With the 94th pick, the Arizona Cardinals take Michael Wilson, wide receiver, Stanford.
Well, at least Shaw had one in the first two days. . . ..
Congrats to Michael!

Wilson had favorable comparisons to Davante Adams, so I hope he shows the rest of the league what they missed!

Jake Moody?!? Couldn't they have waited a year for Karty?

Karty might be a second round pick next year. He might be the best kept secret in college football.
As for Moody, he’s really good and a solid Gould replacement. Really like who Niners took with first 3 picks.

Gould is no longer a 49er OF. He moved on

Interesting that no one has picked him up yet. His leg has weakened as he's aged -- he's 40 and will turn 41 during the season -- and he wants $6 million+. He might have to retire.

That's why I said Moody is a good Gould replacement, bob...

Karty might have been a secret last year but no more. And with scant weapons, TT will be going to him often. Should have a monster year. Best wishes to him.

Since 2000 only 3 kickers have been taken in first 2 rounds. Moody is the 5th taken in top 3. Highly unlikely Karty will be a second or even third round pick.
Niners roster top to bottom is strong enough that they can make an early pick on a kicker. Not many teams in that position.

Kyu Blu Kelly to the Ravens in the 5th round.

I think they may have made a mistake selecting Moody in the 3rd Round. SF needs more depth on the offensive line. I think an OT might have been a better choice.
As Lex noted, early round PK’s are a rare breed. There haven’t been any that panned out since Janikowski was picked by the Raiders in Round 1 in 2000.
As for Karty? I predict Round 4 or 5.

Have the draft on in the background as I'm working around the house and happened to walk past when Tanner was drafted. Somewhat complimentary of him, with comments like "It was amazing that he didn't get killed behind the worst offensive line in the country." "They tried to implement Wake's slo mesh, but that didn't work."
Ouch.

Kendall Williamson one pick from being Mr. Irrelevant.
At least he got drafted by DA Bears!

On the flip side, a really promising career is coming to an end, at least in New England. Bailey was injured about half of last year. He was also suspended over a "disagreement" about when he could return to the team. He had just signed an extension (7 months ago) that made him the highest paid punter in the NFL. No idea how much of that is guaranteed. Patriots drafted a punter in this draft.

I am not that optimistic on McKee”s chances in the NFL I have to think he is a better pro prospect than DTR or Clifford though. Both of whom got drafted ahead of him.
