I've advocated for mass surveillance screening since April, so this makes oodles of sense to me. I know the antigen test isn't as accurate as the PCR test, but there is no doubt this approach is way better than doing no mass testing at all. If people test positive on antigen they can get PCR, and then positive PCR results can be added to public health data.
Might a Biden admin activate the Defense Production Act to mass manufacture these home-based antigen tests and make them available to every American free of charge? This would seem like a game changer.
