Just heard about this on the radio but apparently there have been numerous seemingly successful studies that show certain dogs can be used to detect humans infected by the coronavirus including this Finnish study that actually deployed the dogs at the airport to screen passengers

A dog is capable of detecting the presence of the coronavirus within 10 seconds and the entire process takes less than a minute to complete, according to Anna Hielm-Björkman of the University of Helsinki, who is overseeing the trial.

Accuracy was apparently close to 100% and detection in some cases happened days before symptoms. 

I believe France and Germany have already done dog related studies to varying degrees of success.  A medical center in Hawaii is starting a study as well. 

This sounds promising.  Wonder why we haven't had more pub on this.

I actually had a different link but thought this one had more information.  Not that i have any idea if the other link was any more trustworthy.

I mean, if they can detect covid levels in human waste and by unique cough signature...why not dogs?  The real question is what kind of viral loads are required for the dogs to pick up on an infected person.
