Just got back from two weeks in Peru on a "Stanford suitcase seminar". Don\'t go on one of these if you require a lot of relaxation when you travel -- this one was on the go all the time -- but it was definitely worth the exertion (considerable) and the expense (astronomical, at least for our habits). We do now have some appreciation for why the alumni assn. trips are so expensive -- everything was top drawer and run very well. If you see a trip that looks interesting with a faculty member you know and like, swallow hard and write the check -- it\'s worth it. :)
