Our last 3 games, we've turned the ball over on 25%, 27%, and 27% of possessions. And that was against mediocre to bad teams. To put that in perspective, only 1 team in D-I has a season turnover rate over 27%. So, I'm sure Haase knows what we need to work on. Hopefully he can right the ship before next weekend.
No doubt that turnovers are the biggest issue for this team to sort out. The good news is that the team seemed to have cut down on them up until the last few games. So, my guess is they can get back to not turning over the ball at a high clip. If they do so, we have a great shot at getting to the tourney.
Bigger picture, the one thing that I think will hold this team back from being a legit force this year a - top 15 type of team - is the severe lack of scoring from our bench. I suspect that this issue will rear its head in a few games that we'd otherwise win. Luckily, it looks like we bring in a couple good shooters next season plus a low post guy who looks like he might provide a little scoring too. If next year's freshmen can contribute offensively early - while playing solid D - then I imagine we'd have a real shot at competing for the conference title.
