My question is whether Fox and Umerah were hurt in game action or practice. Seems like a bunch of injuries have been incurred in practice. If so WTF is going on?

OF questioning S&C is ok because after two years of playing M*A*S*H* football this doesn’t smell of coincidence.

I'm with you guys.  My priors are that S&C is probably at best very loosely related to injuries; but as you point out it is hard to ignore that while Turley was our S&C guy we had fewer than average games lost to injuries, and the last two years it has been much more than average.
