We certainly don\'t need to recount what I consider to be the obvious flaws in the "JH is gone to Michigan (or the NFL)..." theories, but at the risk of sounding like naive homer, I\'m hoping that we Board-posters (of all people) can at least quick it with such defeatist, inferiority-complex-laden drivel and enjoy him while we\'ve got him (for the next 25 years!).
It\'s one thing when the morons who write for the Bay Area newspapers try to pass off such speculation as insight or analysis, but let\'s not stoop to their level. Â If nothing else, it undermines the great work that JH has done on the recruiting and fan base re-building fronts. Â Please tell me that we can refocus this energy on finding ways to fill our wonderful new stadium and make sure that Jim comes to think of Stanford as a home he could not possible leave!
