If ONLY Â Bowlsby had doubled Trent\'s salary, Â he wouldn\'t have been so grumpy and wouldn\'t have been so dismissive of Lin. Â Pac-10 crowns would have ensued, basketball would have been so popular that football would become a side show and Wlat would still be coach because nobody would care, Â they\'d all be over in the new, expanded Maples Home Depot Arena.
I wonder. Given the new relationship that the football (and Dawkins\' basketball)program  have been able to construct with dean Shaw and the Montag,  if Trent had just been a little more patient could he have been able to bring in the kind of athlete that would have allowed him to compete on the level he wanted?  Or, would even some flexibility at Montag not satisfy his desire for a competitive team?  Or, was the talent gap excuse just bull****,  it was all about the Benjamins?
