True. That is why he was a very special case. He had lots of talent, and even more character, as well as being a good student. However, due to injury, he hadn't been able to showcase his talents to the NFL. If he hadn't been hurt, he would have been on his way to the NFL after four years. Since he was hurt, he needed another year to show that he had "it". He was also willing to give it a try. Lots of people would say "it isn't meant to be" and gone on to the 40 year decision. He did not. Glad it worked out for both Stanford and him!  :)
