Maybe it would have taken giving Texas a bigger slice of the pie for a few years for them to make the jump to the Pac, but it would have been well worth it.  The Big 12 is a giant pain in the Pac-12's ass right now.  The Pac whatever leadership should have been able to foresee this and taken very bold action to kill it when it was possible, unless of course, the Pac is OK with generating far less revenue than the other schools in other conferences.
