The Big Game is a part of the reason. I'd like to see it return as the final game. However, I also don't like the havoc it wreaks (does anyone ever use that word without the word havoc?) on the schedule as a whole. It created the Big Game in October situation a few years back, as well as the situation that led to playing UCLA in back-to-back games.

Stanford needs to be able to move that game around as necessary to accommodate conference games.
