Stanford is pretty diligent about taking guys off the depth chart when they aren't going to play, so I don't know why there is any reason to think Holder isn't starting. There isn't even an OR there.
That aside, this looks like the healthiest the team has been all season, just in terms of guys ready to go. Other than Phillips, all 2016 projected starters are available, and only Eric Cotton has been absent. What exactly is the issue with Cotton anyway?
As for "Lloyd or Edwards", here's a guess as to what might be at hand. Ca.l missed a mind bending number of tackles against Oregon. Edwards may be seen as a better tackler than Lloyd, and his physicality can be helpful against the Oregon run game.Â
