- Stanford gets to play the now #12 and #5 ranked teams
- the University of Dead Fake Girlfriends will likely be ranked in the Top 4 when Stanford plays them
- The committee seems to like wins against teams over .500, and Stanford could have quite a few of those this year.
Under Stanford Control, Washington State, UCLA, Oregon, the University of Dead Fake Girlfriends, Utah, and possibly Ca.l and WSU are all teams that could fit that bill. So more than half of Stanford's wins (8) could be against teams over .500, and its only loss could be to a team ranked in the Top 25.
Then beating what will likely be a Top 4 team in the University of Dead Fake Girlfriends, would make Stanford a lock for the playoff.
It makes them a lock to be a very strong alternate, should there be a one loss non SEC champ, but even then it could be a tossup. We don't control our own destiny...
