Good point.  I had the bad luck to be present at two of those games - Harvard and Florida State.  At least I know the answer to the trivia question, "Which team is the only NCAA basketball first seed to lose to a 16 seed."  Otherwise, hitting my thumb repeatedly with a hammer would be more fun.

There is a bit of selection bias at work here.  Given that teams generally don't host as low seed, we don't get a chance to see Stanford upset a better team when we host.  We only have a chance to be upset, and every once in a while that will happen.  Most of the time, though, when we host we don't get upset, as evidenced by the number of Final Fours we've been to recently.
