With nine losses we are still (barely) in the running.  Duke also has nine losses and comes in with 13 in RPI.

The weekend in Oregon only did slight damage to our prospects--we dropped from 19 to 20.  The Oregon loss hurt us more than the Oregon State win helped us--but not by much.  It was more a matter of losing a great opportunity to move solidly into the ranks of those who would host.

Looking this over, I guess I would have to conclude that we do still have a shot at hosting if we win the Pac 12.  If there are upsets in the Pac 12 tournament we could wind up winning it and not helping our RPI much, but if Arizona State (17) and Oregon State (11) are opponents and we win then we would have a shot.

Frankly, this feels a little like clutching at straws given how we have been playing, but the players should know they still have a lot to play for.
