Can\'t say I delight in opponent injuries.
However Riley seemed to play four or five levels above his talent against Stanford, so I guess any other C.a.l QB is a good deal for Stanford.
Still trying to figure out why C.a.l was good at home and terrible on the road. Â I suspect the quality of the opponents had something to do with that trend. Â Oregon was going to bust them up at Memorial, and was definitely going to soften them up for Stanford.
I thought C.a.l might stop their road losing streak against Wazzu, but now I think Wazzu just might take them.

As I posted elsewhere, there\'s a history of back-up UCBerkeley quarterbacks coming up big against Stanford in the Big Game -- for example, J Torchio in 1980, Kevin Brown in 1986, Steve Levy in 2005. So I\'m not going to get excited about facing a back-up QB in the Big Game . . .

That\'s true Terry but those back-ups MIGHT come up big against us while Reilly already has.

Last year cal completed short passes against us all day and drove down the field more often than we could. Â We never did anything to stop it, so they never did. :(
