A big underplayed storyline: the relative strength of personnel that were unavailable then that will be available now. Peat injured his hand the week before SJSU (he'd been contending to start, if you believe the coaches); Hogan, of course; Skov was suspended; Hewitt, too, didn't make an appearance until SC.
