Well, that's more than can be said about Kentucky.

The Lemons cut probably looked worse than it was. The head is very vascular, so any cut will result in a brobdingnagian loss of blood. That happened to me in a gym about seven years ago. I hit my head on a piece of equipment, and there was blood everywhere.

Bill Walton is a weird color guy. I noticed the laws of physics comment. Then, he said SLAC was his favorite place. (Dude! Get out more!) He seemed to be effusive about SFA and damning of Stanford, but then he saw Joe Morgan in the crowd and couldn't stop praising Stanford after that. Very strange.

Couple more notes:

Lemon's cut was a split of the left eyebrow near its outer end, it looked like to me.  Left the court, because it was going to be hard to get that closed up on the bench.  Unlikely they could've stopped the bleeding quickly enough to return, I think.

Did anyone else see what I saw, as I mentioned before - Powell has a weak handle?  Actually, I think the issue is more that he tries to play like a 6'5" shooting guard, instead of just powering up to the glass.  Every time he turns and faces, or tries to take his man off the dribble, smaller guards have a shot at the ball - even if it's just purely by being closer to the ground.

As 76LSJUMB mentioned, I was stunned that they didn't keep giving the ball to Huestis in the post.  He was generally guarded by a smaller, much less athletic player, as SFA had their best player guarding Powell.  Especially when Powell drew him away from the basket, Josh could've gone to work.  Especially disappointed not to see it late, as none of the guards was shooting particularly well (and Chasson Randle continues to vanish).

OTOH, what great and game efforts by Robbie Lemons and Gabe Harris.  Guys who definitely don't want the season to end (remind me a bit of Sara James on the women's side - maybe not the most athletically gifted, but willing to do what they have to do and grit it out).

And at least Gabe gets a final road trip to his home state of Alabama.

I've seen a good bit of Walton this season. He's not anti-Stanford -- he's the opposite. He portrays Stanford, constantly, as an aesthetic and intellectual paradise. He's constantly saying -- as he did several times last night -- why would anybody ever want to leave here?

What he is critical of is the basketball team, which he regards as underperforming and poorly coached. It has been a jolt to hear him ripping the team, over and over again, after years of hearing Dawkins-worshippers both on Fox Sports and ESPN saying "he's got this program heading in the right direction," as if Dawkins were a super-hero trying to clean up a basketball wasteland.

Thanks for the clarification. That's the best kind of critic to have.
