Yep, too bad Stanford has a much harder time landing some of these disillusioned decommits. I know Stanford has several recruiting advantages, but it's at a clear disadvantage when it comes to late decommits, who haven't been coached on how many APs to take, how high to get the GPA, and how to fill out the application, let alone the fact that they have to fill one out to begin with.

As much joy as I take in watching $¢ trip over itself -- though a lot of good it does in swaying future recruits to look elsewhere -- part of me wishes these guys would stay put and regress under Lame, rather than make teams such as UCLA and ND that much stronger.

Not sure it's clear what we want here. Why was Mora so successful in year one? Seems clear at least part of the reason was that Slick Rick did an excellent job stockpiling talent. So, yeah, the guys being recruited might be incompetently coached by Kiffin, but then have a reversal if/when a competent coach happens to come around.

For us, the best thing is always that the talent among Pac-12/NIPS be diffuse.
